Knitwear love

1. One Teaspoon Warrior Chunky Knit 2. Sass & Bide Airbrushed Jumper 3. Bardot 3 Colour Knit 4. Witchery Boxy Oversized Knit 5. Witchery Oversized Cardigan 5. Sportsgirl Mini Rib Sweater

I mentioned in my 7 random facts tag that I hate Summer, so I am so happy that the weather is cooling down and we're heading into my favourite time of the year. Autumn/Winter is not only my favourite time of year weather-wise, it's also my favourite for clothes. I find dressing in Summer much more difficult, as I'm usually too hot and bothered to care as much and I just want to be cool. But in the cooler months I get to embrace all of my favourites - boots, jeans and my ultimate love, knitwear! These are just a few of my favourites out this season. I would especially love to add that Witchery cardigan to my collection, it looks so snug!

Meet Poya

See By Chloe Poya Doctor's Bag

I have been looking for a new handbag for quite some time and I am pleased to say, I have found my new baby! My Marc by Marc Jacobs bag has served me well for the past 2 and a half years, and although it's still in really good condition and will stick around, I was looking for something different. As soon as I saw this baby on Net-a-Porter, I was sold and 2 weeks ago (only 3 days after ordering her), she arrived at my door.

I love the satchel-like style, which reminds me just slightly of the beautiful Mulberry Alexa but of course much more affordable. The leather is soft and quite light as well, and the long shoulder strap (tucked inside for these photos) makes it easy and comfortable to wear. Of course, my favourite thing about my Poya is the scalloped detail edges, which gives the bag that extra something that makes it really special. I am absolutely in love with her and I am so glad I didn't settle for anything else in my search for a new bag because she is perfect.

Instagram Recap

Casual lunch outfit of the day • Bedside details • Topshop Melbourne • T2 tea display • Degraves laneway, Melbourne • Uni outfit of the day • Claddagh ring • Topshop Rainy Day with OPI Metallic 4 Life tips • Net-a-porter purchase • Donut bun • Ricotta cheescake from Pasticceria Papa • Easter Sunday Moochi • My new Cotton On tee • Lomography Diana Mini • Me and my love

Another random Instagram update, because I think they are a fairly good picture of my life. I'm a bit sad looking at some of these pictures because my dear Kate Spade iPhone cover actually smashed on me today and I've had to order a new and (hopefully) more sturdy cover. RIP my beloved polkadots, you will be missed. Also I realise I did not post the contents of my NAP purchase, the reason for this is that it will be getting its own special blog post. The box is just to keep you in suspense - unless you actually follow me on Instagram, in which case you will know what it is and then you're just a party pooper.

Not really though, because if you follow me on Instagram you're actually a cool man dude. If you're not, go do it already. My username is katdogs! Arrivederci!

Melbourne Haul Part 2: Clothes

1. Alice in the Eve Pleated Skirt 2. Bardot Lace Dress 3. Topshop Lattice Sleeve Blouse 4. Topshop Petite Maxi skirt 5. Steve Madden Slippers 6. Tony Bianco Boots

Finally, part 2 of my Melbourne haul - the clothes! I'm so happy with my purchases, especially my shoe finds. These are both styles I have been coveting for ages, so I'm so pleased to have them and such good quality versions of them too. I always prefer to pay slightly more for shoes if it means they will last me a long time and I won't have to replace them every few months. I can tell you now, both of these will be getting a serious smashing over the coming months so I'm glad I have something that will hold up.

For those wanting the Topshop verdict, it was amazing! Although it may look like my trip was unsuccessful, as I only left with 2 things (makeup not included obviously), I walked away with two things that I had gone in looking for so I was stoked. The scallop top I wanted was sold out in my size, but I did try it on in another colour so that I could order the right size when it comes back in stock on the website. For anyone planning to check out Topshop, I would suggest browsing the website and having a few things to keep an eye out for before you go (it's all the same stock as the UK). The place is so big and there is so much to see that it can be a bit overwhelming, so do take your time there, have a good look and even do a couple of rounds of the store in case you missed something! The prices are also quite reasonable on most things in my opinion. For all of you Sydney folk, our store opens in August and it's going to be even bigger so get excited, I definitely am!

Melbourne Haul Part 1: Beauty

1. Laura Mercier Mineral Powder + Mac 182 brush 2. Topshop Rainy Day Nailpolish, Topshop Waterlily Nailpolish + Topshop Saddle Eye Kohl 3. Topshop Infrared lipstick + Topshop Ohh la la lipstick 4. LUSH Sex Bomb Bath Ballistic, LUSH Sakura Bath Ballistic + LUSH Bubblegum lip scrub

Here is the first part of my Melbourne haul! I decided to split these into two parts so that it wouldn't be too big and boring of a post. Normally with my shopping posts, I tend to just pick my favourite things to show but I couldn't narrow this one down, I wanted to show everything! I was originally going to film a video haul but I never got around to it so I'm doing it this way instead. The next part will be along later in the week!

Isn't the Topshop makeup adorable? I absolutely love the packaging on everything! The products are also really good AND very affordable. Makeup in Australia can be so expensive, even drugstore makeup can get up to the $20 mark at times. I thought the Topshop makeup range would be no different but it's quite decent. The eyeliner was only $8, the nailpolish was $10 and the lipsticks were $15, and they're all great products. The eyeliner especially is my new favourite, I have been wearing it almost every day. I haven't worn the lipsticks out yet (and probably won't until my braces come off) but I have tested the quality and they're lovely. One of the girls working there told me that MAC actually makes the Topshop lipsticks and they're about half the price, so I definitely recommend checking them out.

I hope you've enjoyed a bit of a beauty related post on the blog for a change. I think I might start including more of them actually. I just got new makeup storage and it has made me even more excited than usual about buying new products and things to fill it up with, so I'm sure you'll be hearing about that in due time.
